CYAP at the National Centre for Circus Arts
On Friday 28th of October we finished a week long intensive workshop with BTEC and LYC students from The National Centre For Circus Arts. The workshop explored group devising, focusing on the creation of gesture and use of architecture through theatre based exercises, object manipulation and group generated ideas. #circumference #education #circus #devising #performance

On Darkness
On Darkness is an experimental lighting project. It explores the audience's response to different levels of light and darkness and how circus and/or physicality is perceived when it can be properly seen. This project was supported by Lab:time and the National Centre for Circus Arts. #circumference #RD #lighting

Video footage from our research on a new aerial structure based on the concept of the double pendulum. The aim is to, in the long term, find a way to generate unpredictable patterns of swing and apply circus techniques to it. The project was supported by Lab:time and the National Centre For Circus Arts. #circumference #RD #newstructures #physics

CYAP - Shelter me
During the creation of Shelter me, we run a weekly 10 session program with some students from the National Centre for Circus Arts youth programs. During this sessions we worked around the different techniques employed in the creation of Shelter me, using as well some of the spaces and sets from the show itself. At the end we invited family and friends to see a promenade presentation where circus, theatre, architecture and interactivity mixed together, #circumference #educatio
